Here’s our weekly round up from the Tyburn neighbourhood policing team.

What’s been happening:

Tyburn Neighbourhood Team have arrested a prolific shop lifter who was wanted by police for 5 previous shop lifting offences.

Tyburn Neighbourhood Officers have issued 2 community resolutions for shop thefts.

Tyburn Neighbourhood Officers have conducted a plain clothes operation on Castle vale. Plain clothes operations are a tactical effort to apprehend suspects and catch criminals in the act.

Tyburn Neighbourhood Officers have also conducted a plain clothes operation on Tyburn retail parks. This is predominantly in an effort to drive down retail crime.

Tyburn Neighbourhood officers have conducted proactive patrols whereby they have stopped a driver for being under the influence of drugs. The offender will be

dealt with by the necessary course of action.

Tyburn Neighbourhood officers have conducted a weapon sweep in the Tyburn area where 1 weapon was found.

PCSO’S have conducted a traffic operation whereby we have checked registration plates at random to check for no tax and insurance, we have also advised members of the public on parking.

PCSO’s have been working along side Birmingham City Council to deal with nuisance begging.

PCSO’S have conducted a property bicycle marking event at Halfords, Ravenside Retail Park, Erdington. Look out for our next one which will be advertised in the near future on WMNOW and X (twitter).

PCSO’S have recovered a stolen motorbike and returned it to the rightful owner.
